In the heart of the splendid Acciaroli, the spearhead of the Cilento Coast, surrounded by the spectacular archaeological excavations of Elea and Paestum, the dream of Alessandra S.r.l. between breathtaking scenery and millenary history, on the top of a large terrace from which it is possible to admire the sinuous profiles of Capri, Palinuro and Marina di Camerota.

In this extraordinary place overlooking the crystal clear sea of ​​the Municipality of Acciaroli, in a wonderful panorama that surrounds the company at 360°, a very young Alessandra Di Pace founds her agricultural company Alessandra S.r.l. in 2004, even before reaching the age of thirty, planting vineyards and olive groves from scratch on lands abandoned to neglect and ruined by wild asparagus hunters.
Having a small plot of land, he wanted to create an innovative and niche production by planting "Primitivo" vines

Primitivo has always been processed both in Cilento and in other neighboring territories as it has always served as a blending grape in the processing of Aglianico so much so that the use of 10-15% of Primitivo as an addition is well specified in the Disciplinary of the DOP Paestum to Aglianico.

Another fundamental factor has been the will, since 2004 to proceed with an eco-sustainable, organic and, in part, biodynamic agriculture of the land and plants in order to be able to obtain natural wines and oils; will achieved with the obtaining of the Bio Certification of the crops since 2007 and of the Wines and Oils since 2011.
Wines, these, processed according to tradition and eco-sustainable, in the name of a clean viticulture that leads the Vino di Alessandra S.r.l. to obtain the "Organic Certification" since 2013
The soil has a unique structure in the Cilento area, since the characteristic calcareous marl alternates with ferrous schist which considerably lowers the pH of the soil, making it particularly suitable for the cultivation of "Primitivo" grapes.
The presence in the vineyard of spontaneous essences, such as the strawberry tree and the carob tree, the nepitella and the myrtle, enriches the bouquet of Mediterranean aromas and suggestions of the wine.

The sprayings, almost entirely, are performed with natural products such as: Propolis, Marine Algae, Macerated Garlic, Nettle, Rosemary, Horsetail and Thyme, use of earths such as Zeolite, Kaolin, Lihotamnium, Bentonite and Mining Sulfur, limited quantity of Boron, Magnesium for organic farming and very limited use of Copper tending to Zero. Every year, the land is sown in alternate rows with Melliferous blends of Organic and Biodynamic seeds which will be shredded and left on site for mulching until the autumn green manure. The vines are not irrigated even in the presence of long periods of drought.
All these situations contribute to obtaining a Primitivo wine with decidedly very different characteristics from those of Puglia: greater softness and drinkable fluidity, lower alcohol content, greater freshness with greater sapidity which cancels out a sweetish sugary appearance.

All pruning, harvesting and spraying are done by hand.
It is harvested between mid and late August.
The freshly harvested grapes are then immediately disarmed and left to ferment with their spontaneous yeasts, then pressed in the press and left to macerate in second-use French oak barriques or in terracotta jars and, for the rosé, in containers of Steel.
The impossibility of diversifying the grapes due to the limited territory has led the Alessandra Srl company to diversify the processing of the same quality of grapes. We then proceeded to work the Primitivo in different ways in order to provide the customer with a variety of flavours: -Red in second passage wooden Barrique, -Rosé in Steel. In 2017 Alessandra Di Pace goes even further with innovation by exhuming the processing of Red in terracotta Amphora; 6,000-year-old winemaking tradition, invented in Georgia and used until the late Middle Ages.
The processing in Amphora has not followed a fashion but a taste. Many Wine Lovers do not like the taste of wood and the quantity of tannins given by the processing in Barrique. The Anfora allows you to partially cancel the above by marking a more natural flavor of the wine. The Amphora also allows, thanks to the micro-cracking of the clay, to obtain the same process of micro-oxygenation of the wine that the Barrique gives.
The maturation of the wine in wooden barriques rounds off the tannins, giving the wine drinkability and pleasantness, and lasts from one to three years before being bottled for a further year.
The maturation in Jars, thanks to the mini-cracking of the Terracotta, allows a moderate micro-oxygenation of the Primitivo necessary for its maturation and refinement which lasts about ten months before being bottled for a further two or three years. Primitivo in Giara also reduces the intense flavor of the tannins and eliminates that of the wood, giving the wine greater freshness and lightness.

The Primitivo intended for Rosé wine, after destemming and pressing on the lathe, remains to macerate for a very short time with its skins before they are removed and the wine is placed in steel containers.
The end result is the production of a very limited selection of an excellent niche wine with a strong personality, balance and naturalness that accompanies the pleasure of tasting a true product "son of the Cilento land", surprisingly tender and balanced, suitable for the fine palate of “Wine Lovers”.

The annual production does not exceed 9-10,000 bottles.
